New London Map

I move to London on Monday! Can't wait! My girlfriend is in what I believe they call the nesting stage, she's buying lots of bed sheets and pillows and tea towels and stuff.

To celebrate our move I thought I would blog this nugget of information. Designer Mark Noad has redesigned the London Underground Map. Traditionalists are probably chuckling to themselves thinking how can someone improve on such perfection that is Harry Beck's London Tube Map. But after looking over the redesign it makes a lot of sense. Noad has included geographical accuracy, something Beck's design sacrificed in favour of visual simplicity.
